Before your appointment
How to prepare for a carpet-cleaning visit
A little preparation makes it easier to quote the right work and use the appointment well. Here’s what to discuss with Keystone Carpet Care before we visit your Brandon or Westman home.
Start with the areas you want cleaned
List each room, hallway, staircase and landing. Note whether you want accessible traffic areas cleaned or the carpet beneath movable furniture included. Approximate sizes and photos help show the layout; we’ll confirm the details needed for your quote.
Mention rugs and upholstery separately. Their materials and care requirements can differ from fitted carpet, so they should be assessed before being added to the job.
Agree on furniture and access
- Ask which furniture needs to be moved and who will move it.
- Pick up toys, shoes, cords and other loose belongings.
- Move breakable items and valuables from the work area.
- Tell us about stairs, elevators, locked entrances or parking restrictions.
- Arrange a safe place for pets away from equipment and open doors.
Point out spots before the work begins
Tell us what caused a spot if you know, when it appeared and which products have already been used. A close-up photograph is useful, but the carpet may still need an on-site assessment. Some marks are permanent colour changes or wear rather than removable soil.
Discuss concerns when booking instead of adding a new treatment just before the appointment. That gives us a clearer picture of the original problem and what has already been tried.
Plan what happens after the visit
Ask about drying arrangements and which rooms you will need to keep clear. Allow flexibility before returning furniture or putting the room back into full use. If you’re moving out, share the key-handover time so the cleaning visit fits the rest of the move.
